About Dr. Phyllis Young

Dr. Phyllis Young is an anointed voice for the Twenty-First Century. Whatever her hands find to do, she does with all of her might. Her passion for ministry and the people of Dr. Phyllis YoungGod distinguishes her as a respected voice and a woman of great spiritual and natural qualities; a role model of excellence indeed.

After serving leaders for over two decades, she heard the voice of God distinctly telling her to “Step out of the Boat” and one would concur; the rest is history!

In 1997, Dr. Phyllis Young gave birth to her genesis; Miracle Christian Center, Hempstead NY. She fed the people of God, loved the people of God and the church began to grow and grow and grow. In 2006 her only beloved son, Dr. David B. Gates was appointed Senior Pastor of Miracle Christian Center, and on October 5, 2013, Dr. Gates was consecrated to the Office of Bishop. Together they are building lives one at a time and leaving a legacy for generations to come. She is not a novice to life and ministry. In 1999, Dr. Young retired from the prestigious North Shore Health System, after 28 successful years of service. Her religious studies and secular education are quite extensive.

Dr. Phyllis Young’s noteworthy accomplishments extend beyond this brief profile. Her greatest joy is her miraculous healing of Cancer in November 2010! She operates in the fivefold ministry with special gifts of the Prophetic and Healing. Apostle’s passion extended to a Prophetic Intercessory Prayer Ministry every Monday and Friday from 5:30 am – 6:15 am, since 2010.

She is the author of her first book, "The Journey". Dr. Phyllis Young recently published her second book, "God's Navigation System," which is now available on Amazon.

Obeying the leading of the Lord, in January 2011 Dr. Phyllis Young launched “Phyllis Young Ministries, Inc., “with a subsidiary component, “There Is A Queen In You Conference.” The ministry focus is teaching empowerment workshops, Queen in You Gatherings, and The Queen in You Conference which is held in January annually.

In July 2020, Dr. Phyllis Young was installed in the office of Apostle. On March 21, 2021, her lovely daughter, Dr. Jacqueline R. Gates was installed as Senior Pastor.

Apostle Phyllis Young is the proud mother of the late Bishop, Dr. David B. Gates, & Senior Pastor Jacqueline R. Gates; the proud grandmother of Brittney Johnson, Elder Ashley and AV Crandle, and Jeremiah Barfield; and on May 3, 2021, she became the proud great-grandmother to Avery Isaac Crandle. The legacy continues.
